Terms of Use (EULA)
These terms are an agreement between you and Acefina LLC ("we") for your use of Acefina VPN. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
Acefina VPN encrypts your internet traffic between your device and our servers and routes it to the internet from the location you choose. We work to keep it fast and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, that every location will always be available, or that it will work on every network.
2. Subscriptions and free trials
- Access requires a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. The price and length of each plan are shown in the app before you buy.
- A free trial may be offered to new subscribers. Unless you cancel before the trial ends (on the App Store, at least 24 hours before), the store charges you for the plan you chose. On the App Store, any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length until you cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- App Store: cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, or it renews and your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
- Google Play: cancel any time before the renewal date, in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Acefina VPN to send spam or bulk email, attack, scan or disrupt other networks or systems, distribute malware, infringe the rights of others, commit fraud, access material that exploits children, or break the law. Outgoing email (port 25) is blocked to prevent spam. Because we keep no activity logs we cannot see what you do. However, we may block a device that clearly abuses the network, for example with sustained attack traffic reported to us, and may suspend access without refund for serious or repeated abuse.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for making sure that using a VPN is lawful where you are, and for complying with export control and sanctions laws that apply to you.
5. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for as long as your subscription is active. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer (except where the law allows), or build a competing service from the app.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
7. Ending the service
You can stop using Acefina VPN at any time and delete your data in the app. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice in the app.
8. App Store terms
If you downloaded Acefina VPN from Apple's App Store: these terms are between you and Acefina LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support, or any claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of its purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where these terms do not cover a point.
9. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what we process and why.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will describe material changes in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
